BAYBAYIN

The first settlers of Romblon island are Mangyans. To remember and honor those ancestors, the kubol part of our house that we sometimes call the ‘wabi-sabi shack’ because of its beauty in its imperfection; the floor was painted with baybayin crosswords in lively color. Baybayin is the Philippine’s ancient script.
