Gut-wrenching Quencher🍸🍉

Fruits as medicine, when they can be used to allay or ease dis-ease.

Have you experienced having stomach discomforts when under pressure, stress or suffering from mild symptoms of gastritis or acid reflux? It’s that feeling of having a burning sensation in your stomach that may not be that painful but very uncomfortable. It’s easier to just buy over-the-counter medicines, keep them in your bag and pop the tablets into the mouth whenever this happens or pour the powder in water and drink it.

But, there’s a more delicious and much healthier way to ease your dis-ease, and that’s through fruits. Fruits provide abundant anti-oxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals. In my experience, these low-acidic fruits are the best:

  • Watermelon
  • Cantaloupe
  • Honeydew melon
  • Dragon fruit
  • Banana

For those who need to be mindful of their sugar intake, dragon fruit is the better choice because its got a very low sugar content compared to the melons and banana. Aside from being loaded with nutrients, they are all thirst-quencher except for the banana), refreshing and cooling.
